I don't know about you, but brunching is a Sunday ritual for me. I am always on the look out for the best brunch places, from good food to the best cocktails! Minneapolis/St. Paul has become a mecca for great restaurants, so the possibilities are endless for finding great places to have brunch. From upscale restaurants to diners, here are some of my favorite places to find the best brunches in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
WA Frost & Company
Located in the Cathedral Hill area of St. Paul, WA Frost & Company is an elegant, upscale restaurant with an expansive Sunday brunch menu, serving both breakfast and lunch options and they even have a kid's brunch! Favorites include the Vanilla Brioche French Toast and Bouillabaisse. The outdoor patio is one of the best in the Twin Cities, and they only accept reservations over the phone for patio seating, so call ahead!
Crave has several locations across the Twin Cities, but only serve brunch at their Edina and Shops at West End locations. Crave offers so many great sweet and savory breakfast items, it is so hard to choose! My favorites include the Lemon Blueberry Stuffed French Toast and the Creole Breakfast Scramble (both served at Edina location only).
Cedar + Stone, Urban Table
Cedar + Stone, Urban Table is a new restaurant located in the JW Marriot Hotel in the Mall of America and has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat! The restaurant is very urban-chic and has a farm to table dining experience. They offer classic Minnesota favorites such as a blackened walleye sandwich, Minnesota cheddar cornbread, baked French Toast and Minnesota wild rice soup. Must have's include the torn kale salad and 12 hour braised beef short rib. Also, one of my favorite brunch cocktails is the Grapefrukt, very light and refreshing!
If you are looking for a very eclectic brunch experience, head to the North Loop in Minneapolis and try Haute Dish. They offer many classic dishes, but with a Minnesota twist. The caramel roll and pigs in a blanket are both favorites. Don't forget to try one of their bloodies, they even serve them with a shot of PBR (only in Minnesota, right?!).
The Uptown Diner, located in the Uptown area of Minneapolis, offers a classic diner experience with an abundance of breakfast options to choose from! The pancakes are delicious, especially the pineapple upside down pancakes. Don't want to deal with the crowds? They also offer delivery through Bite Squad.
The Good Earth
Located in Edina and Roseville, The Good Earth caters to the "health minded diners" and offers only natural ingredients in their menu options. They offer a wide array of fresh, natural juices and smoothies to start with as well as a variety of sweet and savory brunch dishes. My favorite menu item is the seasonal veggie omelette, paired with a strawberry fields juice.
Nicollet Island Inn
Are you craving a great brunch with a great view? Head to the Nicollet Island Inn in Minneapolis. Located on the Mississippi River opposite downtown Minneapolis, the Nicollet Island Inn offers a 3 course and 5 course tasting menu that can be paired with their many cocktail and champagne offerings. This is a can't miss brunch experience in the Twin Cities!
Key's Cafe has several locations across the Twin Cities and offers a menu with food options "that you grew up with." If you are going to Key's, the caramel rolls are a must try on the menu as well as the Farmer's Omelette. You won't be disappointed with this place!
It's your turn! Where are your favorite places to have brunch?
